Could a playground win this?

Possible fit Low confidence

This page does not say what projects are funded. Schools, nonprofits and government agencies can send a project idea at any time, so a community playground could fit. Check the grant guidelines to confirm.

We accept grant ideas on an ongoing basis as well as providing defined grant rounds on occasion.

Our grants are open to nonprofit organizations, schools, government agencies and projects that use one of these entities as a fiscal partner.

Based on the funder's words, from swifoundation.org (opens in a new tab). This is our read, not the funder's.

About the match

The foundation will fund up to half of a project. The other half must come from other sources. That share can include in-kind contributions, and it also needs a cash contribution. Volunteer labor or donated materials can count.

On a $50,000 playground project, the grant would cover up to $25,000 and you would provide $25,000.

How to apply

  1. Read the foundation's grant guidelines to make sure your project fits.
  2. Fill out the grant request form to describe your project.
  3. Plan to raise at least half of the project cost from other sources, including some cash.
